Remove the cap on payroll taxes for big corporations

Across races and zip codes, working Washingtonians should be able to depend on assistance when faced with a health crisis or when welcoming a new baby into their families. But companies that pay huge salaries get to avoid paying what they truly owe in taxes, because of an arbitrary cap on taxes paid on salaries above $168,600. It’s time to remove this cap and fully fund our state’s Paid Family Medical Leave with the tax dollars we’re owed.
